Aurum offers a panoramic architecture on a metal base, which creates a light piece of furniture with broad dimensions and redefines the concept of elegance for the contemporary sofa. Upholstered in chenille, it combines refined lines and balanced proportions to blend naturally into any space, providing visual depth and sophistication. Its metal base, with a matte micro-textured finish, enhances the sensation of lightness and elevates the piece, inviting you to enjoy a modern and ethereal setting. Comfort is the key feature: the medium-soft seat system, using different layers of high-quality foam: a 28kg/m3 core and a super soft 18kg/m3 top layer, provides a pleasant sensation on first contact, exceptional stability and optimal recovery after each use, preventing creases and maintaining its flawless shape over time. The enveloping, soft-touch chenille fabric has been developed with households with pets in mind: it is scratch-resistant, easy to remove fur, stain-resistant and machine washable. Fabric made with recycled materials sourced from a Global Recycled Standard certified supplier, ensuring lower use of resources and virgin material, and with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for ecologically safe and environmentally responsible production. Wood certified with the FSC Mix Credit label, made with a mixture of materials from FSC-certified forests and FSC-controlled wood. Locally produced. Made in Europe, reducing CO2 emissions for a lower environmental impact. Aurum is the ideal choice for those looking for a versatile and architecturally inspired piece, where comfort and design coexist in perfect harmony.
When you purchase a piece of furniture, a lamp, a mattress, a kitchen, home textiles or a rug, you pay an eco-contribution that helps fund the recycling of your old items.
What is eco-participation?
The eco-contribution is a fee added to the price of new furniture, bedding, textiles and electrical and electronic equipment such as lamps and light bulbs. It is paid by the consumer and passed on to the relevant eco-organization: Ecomaison for furniture, Refashion for textiles and Ecologic for electrical and electronic equipment.
Why?
It is used to finance the sorting, recycling, and recovery of mattresses, used furniture, lamps, and soft furnishings.
How does it work?
Ecomaison implements collection and recycling solutions in partnership with local authorities, social economy organizations (such as the Network of Recycling Centers and Emmaus), and furniture professionals.
Since 2013, through this initiative, Ecomaison has already handled over 10 million tons of used furniture and bedding, preventing the landfill of waste equivalent to 1,000 Eiffel Towers. Previously, 55% of discarded furniture ended up in landfills. Ten years later, it's less than 3%. With 800,000 tons per year, Ecomaison is now the leading supplier of recycled wood in France.
Who is Ecomaison?
Ecomaison is a state-approved eco-organization that manages the sorting, collection, reuse, and recycling of household items and materials, from the foundations to the finishing touches. Its mission is to collect and repurpose household items and materials, giving them a second life by donating, repairing, recycling, or using them as an energy source.
